The ADCC’s 67th annual awards show Directions took place on Thursday, November 17th in Koerner Hall at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning, Toronto.
32 Golds, 84 Silvers, and 205 Merits were given this year. A total of 321 awards were presented for outstanding Canadian creative work.
The 2016 Scarlet Letter Awards were given to:
lg2 – Agency of the Year
Leo Burnett, Toronto – Design Studio of the Year
Leo Burnett, Toronto – Interactive Agency of the Year
Untitled Films – Production Company of the Year
This year’s Les Usherwood Award for lifetime achievement was presented to Barry Blitt.
The ADCC Student Competition Gold awards went to two entries: Jack Jungho Hwang from School of Visual Arts for his Advertising entry “Lego Brickontainers”; Shirley Liang from York University and Sheridan College, for her Graphic Design entry “Bread and Circus Visual Identity”.
The 2016 Awards Annual, designed by Camp Jefferson with photography from Vicky Lam of Westside Studio, and printed by Somerset Graphics. The annual will be available at Swipe Design | Books + Objects.
