The Advertising & Design Club of Canada’s 69th annual awards show Directions 2018 took place on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Koerner Hall at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning, Toronto.

51 Golds, 152 Silvers, and 230 Merits were given this year. A total of 433 awards were presented for outstanding Canadian creative work.

The 2018 Scarlet Letter Awards were given to:
Cossette – Agency of the Year
Cossette – Design Studio of the Year
FCB Canada – Interactive Agency of the Year
Skin and Bones Film Company – Production Company of the Year

This year’s Les Usherwood Award for lifetime achievement was presented to designer and creative director, and co-founder of TAXI, Jane Hope.

The ADCC Student Competition Gold awards went to two entries:
Maddie Rosenberg, Ela Kallonen and Runda Dong from Miami Ad School Toronto for their Advertising entry “Adidas Atmos”;
Mohit Gupta, Carson Young, Zachery Eng and David Luong from York University/Sheridan College for their Graphic Design entry “Oble”.

The 2018 Awards Annual was concept was designed by Grey Canada and printed by Flash Reproductions. The annual will be available for sale in limited quantity in December.

This year’s winners are up on the ADCC Archive – our free digital collection of the the best in Canadian advertising and design dating back to 1949.
