The Advertising & Design Club of Canada’s 70th annual awards show Directions 2019 took place on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in Koerner Hall at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning, Toronto.

46 Gold, 85 Silver, and 172 Bronze awards were given this year. A total of 303 awards were presented for outstanding Canadian creative work.

The 2019 Scarlet Letter Awards were given to:
lg2 – Agency of the Year
Rethink – Design Agency of the Year
Underline Studio – Design Studio of the Year
Jam3 – Interactive Agency of the Year
Skin and Bones Film Company – Production Company of the Year

This year’s Les Usherwood Award for lifetime achievement was presented to director, Steve Chase.

The ADCC Student Competition Gold awards went to two entries:
Rachel LeBlanc, Mirabelle Eze, Lee I, Tara Magloire and Marwa Hassan from Miami Ad School Toronto for their Advertising entry “The Truth Translator”;
Tanner Garniss-Marsh from Conestoga College for their Graphic Design entry “Oko Electric Vehicles”.

The 2019 Awards Annual was designed by Underline Studio and printed by Flash Reproductions. The annual will be available for sale in limited quantity in December.

This year’s winners are up on the ADCC Archive – our free digital collection of the the best in Canadian advertising and design dating back to 1949.
