Design Sweden
The ADCC is proud to present Design Sweden - a month-long exhibition featuring a selection of design from some of Sweden's top design studios. Join us on September 27 for a live presentation focusing on the Swedish design scene by Thomas Kurppa - Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer at Kurppa Hosk. Exhibition participants include: Kurppa Hosk, Stockholm Design Lab, Teenage Engineering, The Studio, Gabor Palotai, Greger Ulf Nilson, and Henrik Nygren Design. This month-long exhibition and event is supported by the School of Design, George Brown College. COST: $12 plus tax/fees for ADCC Members $24 plus tax/fees for Non-Members SCHEDULE: 6pm - Doors open 6:45pm - Presentation by Thomas Kurppa

Thomas Kurppa
Kurppa Hosk Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer
Thomas Kurppa is co-founder and the Chief Creative Officer of Kurppa Hosk. He began his career as a producer of electronic music in the early 90’s. He started a number of small labels where he produced underground music and designed album covers. Thomas received his professional training at Forsberg School of Design in Stockholm in the mid 90’s. In the late 90’s he moved to London to work at Wallpaper* Magazine as a designer. Returning to Sweden, he joined Stockholm Design Lab as a Senior Designer 2002. In 2009, he co-founded Kurppa Hosk. Thomas has won numerous awards, including Merit Awards, a Distinction Award from the Art Directors Club in New York, the Tokyo TDC and the Swedish Golden Egg Award.
