Craft Club: Animation

Jay is Co-Founder of Giant Ant, a content studio in Vancouver. Giant Ant has been awarded at the Daytime Emmys, ADC Awards, The Clios & One Show, and has been named 4 times on Working Not Working’s list of 50 Companies Freelance Creatives Would Kill to Work for Full-time—as an honouree, and 3 times in the top 50—alongside Nasa, Google, Telsa, Nike and Pixar. Jay has popped up on a handful of industry podcasts, as a speaker at several conferences and, in 2019, as host of Blend, the industry’s premier Motion Design Festival—which sold out in under a minute! In 2022 Giant Ant merged into Residence, a group of creative companies founded by BUCK.

Tisha is a Motion Designer based in Vancouver, BC. She graduated with a Bachelor of Media Arts in Animation from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Her films have screened at TIFF, Cinanima, Anima Mundi, OIAF, NYICFF and is part of a permanent film collection at the MOMA in New York. She is a Creative Director and co-founder at Good Bad Habits, an Animation & Motion Design studio. Their select clients include Google, Wikimedia, TED-Ed, Telus, Clio and Visier.

Hans leads the design team at Rethink – one of Fast Company’s Top 10 Most Innovative Creative Agencies and Canada's top-ranked Creative and Design agency, five years in a row and counting. He has had the pleasure of working with a wide range of global brands (including Kraft Heinz, IKEA, EA, RXBAR, Molson Coors, Mattel), non-profits, and household names in the making. Hans’ work has been recognized with a variety of awards (including a D&AD Black Pencil), press (from Rolling Stone to Ripley’s Believe It or Not), and the occasional cease and desist letter.
