Craft Club: Art of the Edit

Matthew Griffiths is a 30-year veteran of the North American post-production business. As a linchpin of the Vancouver scene, he has been fortunate enough to cut for top agencies locally, nationally and globally, winning awards at the Cannes Lions and the Clios.

Danielle is a multi-disciplinary creative director and writer who combines strategic thinking with conceptual storytelling to bring brands to life. Danielle started her career in Toronto and has spent the past 15 years working in Vancouver. She's worked with clients of all sizes, from local, independent startups to big, multi-national brands and everything in between, creating work that stands out for everything from beer, burgers and cars, to sports, snacks, and banks. Some of her work has been recognized by national and international award shows, and some has been social posts you have scrolled past without looking. In the fall of 2025, Danielle co-founded Gladys The Agency, a full-service creative agency based in Vancouver where she currently works as a creative director. You'll also find her guest lecturing at Capilano University's IDEA program, or cheering on her local U11 softball team, the Dickens Chickens.

Matt Swanson is a filmmaker and commercial director known for blending performance-driven humor with strong cinematic craft. Raised in the Pacific Northwest and trained at film school in Montréal, Swanson first gained acclaim with his award-winning short film “Hiro,” which won Best Short Film at SXSW and earned a Canadian Academy Award nomination. In commercials, his robust portfolio spans top brands like Spotify, McDonald’s, and HBO. His work has been recognized at major showcases including Cannes Lions, D&AD, and the Shots Awards, where his Spotify campaign won Commercial of the Year. Across formats, Swanson delivers visually inventive, technically rigorous, and emotionally specific storytelling.

Don has worked on both sides of film production. As a creative he’s Shot over 200 commercials while leading creative for brands like Nike North America, Levi’s Global, Volkswagen North America and Target. Don worked in Los Angeles as a Director at Caviar Content and HSI Productions where he focused on Music videos, Commercials, and Short films for clients like Budweiser, Microsoft, NBC Network, Pernod Ricard, and Funny or Die!
