Craft Club: Typography

Marie Chénier is a Montreal-based graphic designer. She graduated from the UQAM School of Design in 2019 and developed her branding expertise in small and large organizations alike, including Sid Lee and Caserne, where she currently works. Her creative playground combines typography, lettering, motion design and illustration to build thoughtful and memorable visual identity systems. Driven by a desire to shape culture and create a positive social impact, she aims to bring uniqueness, beauty and meaning to each project, always with a strong attention to detail. Marie’s work has been recognized internationally in competitions such as Young Guns, Cannes Lions, The One Show, ADC, ISTD and D&AD. Marie Chénier est une designer graphique basée à Montréal. Elle est diplômée de l’École de design de l’UQAM en 2019 et a développé une expertise en branding au sein de petites et grandes organisations telles que Sid Lee et Caserne, où elle travaille actuellement. Son terrain de jeu créatif allie typographie, lettrage, motion design et illustration, pour construire des systèmes d’identité visuelle réfléchis et mémorables. Animée par le désir de façonner la culture et de créer un impact social positif, elle vise à apporter unicité, beauté et sens à chaque projet, avec une grande attention aux détails. Le travail de Marie a été reconnu internationalement dans des concours comme Young Guns, Cannes Lions, The One Show, ADC, ISTD et D&AD.

Raphaël Daudelin founded Feed in 1999 with Anouk Pennel. Specializing in branding, publishing and typeface design, the studio’s work has benefited from a simple and straightforward approach. Feed’s projects have garnered numerous awards and been featured in conferences, exhibits and international publications. Raphaël Daudelin fonde Feed en 1999 avec Anouk Pennel. Spécialisé dans le branding, l’édition et la création de typographies, le travail du studio bénéficie d’une approche simple et directe. Il a remporté de nombreux prix, a fait l’objet de conférences et d’expositions et a été publié à l’international.

David Beauchemin is a graphic designer at LG2 for 5 years. His experience with various agencies, including Deux Huit Huit, Akufen and Beside, has enabled him to explore web design, brand identity and publishing design. Determined to create striking, lasting projects, he is currently focusing his work on the design of identity systems for brands and institutions. He is also recognized for his work on Quebec cultural projects in the fields of music and comedy, among others. David Beauchemin est designer graphique chez LG2 depuis près de cinq ans. Son expérience au sein de diverses agences montréalaises incluant Deux Huit Huit, Akufen et Beside lui a permis d’explorer le design web, l'identité de marque et le design d'édition. Déterminé à créer des projets marquants et durables, il oriente actuellement son travail vers le design de systèmes identitaires pour des marques et institutions. On peut aussi reconnaître son travail pour des projets culturels québécois dans le milieu de la musique et de l'humour, entre autres.
