Join us on Tuesday, November 26 at the Great Hall in Toronto for a round table and book launch celebrating 75 years of Canadian creativity. At Going Behind the Gold, 6 creative leaders will discuss their award-winning projects and the stories behind them. Featured panelists include Judy John (Edelman), Diti Katona (Concrete), Mike Dubrick (Rethink), Vanessa Eckstein (Blok Design), Craig McIntosh (Broken Heart Love Affair), and Ugo Varin Lachapelle (Caserne) - moderated by Lyranda Martin-Evans (Fellow Human). Plus, it's your first chance to grab a copy of our new book: Archive/Recollection: 75 years of the Advertising & Design Club of Canada. This limited edition publication (only 500 copies) is an essential collection of Canadian creative talent and craft. The 240-page book, designed by Underline Studio, features work from 75 years of ADCC annuals, with first-hand accounts and behind-the-scenes commentary highlighting the most game-changing ads and stunning design work from the last 75 years. Edelman Global Chief Creative Officer

As the first ever Global Chief Creative Officer at Edelman, the world's largest communications firm, Judy sits on the Executive Committee and leads the creative community globally. Before joining Edelman, she was at Leo Burnett where she served as Chief Creative Officer for North America, and CEO for Canada. Judy loves building teams that go on to create the unexpected. In 2021, Judy led Edelman to win the Grand Prix in Entertainment for Sports and Independent Agency of the Year for the Entertainment track at the Cannes Lions Festival for Creativity. Following that momentum, in 2022, she led Edelman to be named Independent Agency of the Year for Good track. Judy has been recognised globally, winning at virtually every show and is known as the driving force behind the Always #LikeAGirl campaign which went on to win the Emmy for Outstanding Commercial, Black Pencil at D&AD, Titanium, Grand Prix and Glass Lion at Cannes, and was named by CBS as one of the top three Super Bowl Commercials of all time. In 2019, Judy was named on Gold House's A100 List of most influential Asians in culture and in 2020 Adweek's Women Trailblazers. She been ranked as the #1 CCO in the world in Advertising Age's Awards Report, was named to Business Insider's 30 Most Creative People in Advertising, and Advertising Age's Creatvity50: The Most Creative People of the Year. Judy also sits on the Board of the One Club for Creativity and the Ad Council Creative Review Board. Along the way, she's judged and chaired top international awards shows including Cannes, The Clios, ADC and D&AD.
