Adrian Villagomez

Fela Director

After spending his childhood playing the violin until the age of 17, Adrian Villagomez pursued film and photography at university, where he began shaping the visual language that would define his career. His early professional work centred on the musical world, creating distinctive music videos for artists both internationally and from his native province of Québec, including The Kid LAROI, Denzel Curry, Killer Mike, and Skiifall. His work has received wide recognition, highlighted by a Best Alternative Video win at the UKMVAs for Jean-Michel Blais’ Passepied and four JUNO nominations for Music Video of the Year, including Ta main by Ariane Roy and two nominations in 2026. In 2023 he was presented with a special award from the Canadian Academy of Cinema for his outstanding contributions to music videos and their international impact. In recent years Villagomez has expanded into the advertising space, directing notable spots for Godiva, Bread & Butter Wine, and STARS, all of which were featured in AdAge. Across both music and commercial work, his films are marked by emotional intimacy, refined aesthetics, and a strong narrative core. His craft has been recognized with wins at The ADCCs, The Clios, The Berlin Music Video Awards, and The Anthem Awards.
