For those wondering how you go from being an intern at a Toronto ad agency to the Creative Director at Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam, boy do we have the session for you. From creating talk-worthy campaigns like john st’s “Cover the Athlete” in response to the often sexist media coverage that female athletes receive to her Glass Lion-winning “The Lioness Crest” for Nike, Hannah has been killing it on both sides of the pond. Oh, and she also happens to be an awesome human being. Join ADCC President Andrew Simon on July 29th from 12-1EST and bask in the glow of all things Hannah. This event will be held using Zoom. Attendees will receive a link to the Zoom meeting the morning of July 29th.

Hannah Smit
Hannah is a creative director at Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam. Born in Canada, her advertising career began in Toronto. But over the past decade, she has worked around the globe for agencies in Canada, Australia, and Europe - on clients ranging from Nike to toilet paper. Hannah’s work has been awarded Lions, Pencils, Arrows, and whatever the hell a Webby is. (Is it a slinky? It looks like a slinky.) But what she is most proud of are the ideas that have created a real impact on people and culture. While she spends most of her time building brands, Hannah has also been known to talk about them – as a speaker at industry events (Hearsay), as a judge (Cannes, Euro Best ) and with publications such as Shots Magazine, PRI and iD (VICE). Hannah is not currently writing a movie or a developing an app, but she does enjoy drawing her colleagues without them knowing and singing really bad Justin Bieber covers on her guitar in the privacy of her Amsterdam home.
