In Conversation with Jenny Glover

As jury president of the audio category at this year’s D&AD Awards, Jenny Glover is someone you absolutely need to know. She has won gold at every major international award show, not to mention 21 Cannes Lions including a little thing known as a Grand Prix. Please join ADCC Chair, and ‘In Conversation With…’ host, Andrew Simon as he picks and prods Jenny’s big brain about what it’s like to be a jury member of an international show, which she’s done eight times, as well as all about her storied career in South Africa and now Canada. Be sure to listen in on Wednesday, April 5th from 12-1 ET.

Jenny Glover

Zulu Alpha Kilo CCO

In 1996 Jenny completed her law degree and to the delight of her parents, got a job as a lowly paid copywriter. After spending 20 years working in South Africa she moved to Toronto to join Juniper Park\TBWA. In April she joins independent creative shop, Zulu Alpha Kilo as Chief Creative Officer. Jenny cofounded Open Chair, the South African industry gender equity initiative and has presented a Cannes master class on her award-winning Mercedes-Benz campaigns. She has worked on and led financial accounts, retail, consumer goods, travel, telecoms and automotive for brands like Apple, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Visa, Virgin Air and Pepsico. She has won golds across all the major international award shows, including 15 yellow Pencils, a Cannes Grand Prix and Canada’s first Glass Lion. She has also been fortunate enough to act as jury a president at D&AD in 2018 and will be the Audio Jury President and Black Pencil judge this year. She has also judged multiple times at Cannes, One Show, Clio’s as well as at local award shows. She is a greedy consumer of creativity beyond advertising, loves ideas that don’t fit in boxes and believes we’re never done learning about culture and innovation. Growing up in an ever-changing and profoundly bonkers country, she enjoys and embraces change easily. She is a collector of contemporary art and photography and assorted rescue dogs. Her finest achievements are daughters, Grace (10) and Ivy (8), who help her maintain her incredibly chic under-eye rings.
